Supreme Air Duct Cleaning cleans a lot of dryer vents for apartment complexes and housing associations in the Ames and Des Moines metro area.
Some of the apartments are 3-story, and some are even 4-story. These taller structures require us to use a lift, since our extension ladders will not reach and/or the roof is too steep for us to safely clean the dryer vents.
The lift you see in first photo is a self-moving articulating lift, which has an 80 feet range. Actually, it can reach 50 feet out and 50 feet up at the same time, making it perfect for our needs. The other great thing is that it can be moved by the operator in the cage without having to lower the cage. This saves a great deal of time.
The self-moving articulating lift is kind of pricey, so we only rent it when we have numerous vents to clean. We spread the cost of the lift over the number of vents to be cleaned, so obviously the more vents there are to be cleaned, the less the charge per dryer unit.
Our other choice for lifts is a tow-behind articulating lift. Typically we rent the 55-foot lift as it gets us to where we need to be. The downside to this type of lift is that we have to unhook it from the pickup when using it, then hook it back up to move it. That means the lift has to be in the “home” position in order to move it.
The towable lift is a lot less expensive to rent, so it’s our first choice for dryer vents that require a lift.
When doing dryer vent cleaning in Ames and Des Moines we rent our tow-behind lift in the city where we’re working, and typically we only need it for one day.
If you are an apartment owner or manager looking to have dryer vent cleaning done at your property, give Supreme Air Duct Cleaning a call. We clean approximately 10,000 dryer vents each year, so you can trust that we know what we’re doing.
